Walk to the big bench in Borgonato

THE PROJECT

The Big Bench in Borgonato is a giant golden bench situated on the Berlucchi family’s property, offering panoramic views of Franciacorta and the surrounding vineyards.

The non-profit Big Bench Community Project (BBCP) supports the creation of new official Big Benches and works with local artisans to create products inspired by the project, thereby contributing to local tourism and the local economy. A portion of the proceeds and donations is allocated to local councils and communities. The initiative aims to promote these installations to offer visitors a fun and evocative experience, enhancing the landscape and attracting new tourists.

THE PATH

The route begins at the Berlucchi Winery, with the Parish Church of San Vitale behind you. Walk alongside the winery and turn left into Via Ignazio Berlucchi, following the dirt track. You pass through the winery’s historic buildings and continue through the vineyards. At the end of the boundary wall, keep left, following the signs until you reach the hill with the golden bench, from where you can admire the Franciacorta landscape.

Follow the signs for Borgonato di Corte Franca until you reach the F.lli Berlucchi Winery and the Parish Church of San Vitale. Free parking is available near the Church of San Vitale or on Via Cavour.
