Show “Mr Bloom” – Festival Il Canto delle Cicale

On Monday, July, 13th at 9:15 pm, at the Church of San Zenone in Monticelli Brusati, the show “Mr Bloom” is scheduled to take place as part of the Il Canto delle Cicale Festival.

A performance combining movement and music, in which a voice-over guides the protagonist, Mr Bloom, through his day, suspended between routine and imagination. From the insistent morning alarm to the drudgery of daily work, his journey gradually transforms into a dreamlike odyssey.

Through his imagination, Bloom drifts away from reality to experience different identities and dreams of escape: he becomes a great goalkeeper, an acclaimed pianist or a bumbling chef, exploring possible and alternative worlds.

The narrator’s voice constantly accompanies and inspires the protagonist, like an invisible travelling companion who encourages him to pursue his desires and give shape to his transformations. Until the final confrontation with reality, when Mr Bloom discovers that even everyday life can harbour happiness, light-heartedness and poetry.

In case of bad weather, the performance will take place at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Via Villa.
