On Wednesday, September 9th, at 9:00 pm, at the Teatro Comunale in Erbusco, a talk by historian David Salomoni, entitled “La donna dei tre mondi”, is scheduled as part of the Rinascimento Culturale 2026 series.
The meeting will focus on the story of Sister Ana de Cristo, a Poor Clare nun who, in 1620, left Toledo to travel to the Philippines and found the first monastery in Manila. A journey across three continents and two oceans, recounted through the chronicle written by Ana herself and reconstructed by Salomoni as a testimony to an era marked by religious wars, colonial expeditions and spiritual turmoil.
