On Thursday, September 24th, at 6:30 pm, in the Sala dei Disciplini of the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa in Provaglio d’Iseo, the “Scritti nella Pietra” series begins with its first event dedicated to “Rèpit. I bambini del cono d’ombra”.
An event dedicated to the memory of children born stillborn and who were unable to receive baptism, and to the unique practice of ‘répit’: a gesture of faith and comfort through which, for centuries, communities and sacred places have sought to give meaning and a sense of welcome to a grief that is difficult to put into words.
A story of grief, faith and remembrance, passed down through generations and now brought back to light.
The author will be in conversation with Tino Bino and Pino Notarnicola.
