Guided tour of the Church of Santa Maria in Persaga

On Tuesday, August 18th, at 6:30 pm, a guided tour of the church of Santa Maria di Persaga in Provezze, Provaglio d’Iseo, a little treasure of the area’s historical, artistic and architectural heritage, is scheduled to take place.

The tour will take participants on a journey of discovery through the church, whose construction began in the mid-16th century, and the works of art it houses, including the precious altarpiece from 1587 attributed to Pietro Marone.

It will also be an opportunity to trace the history of the building, its connection with the Montini and Bucelleni families, and the role the church has played, over the centuries, in the life of the local community.

Free admission.

The event is part of the Franciacorta Aperta 2026 festival.
