DEATH CAFÉ (A)LIVE by Marina Minetti – Wonderland Festival

On Saturday, September 26th, at 9:00 pm at Parco del Maglio in Ome, “Death Cafè (a)live” will take the stage, an extraordinary monologue written and performed by Marina Minetti, a well-known “mainstream” public figure and celebrated radio host. Inspired by the hit podcast of the same name, the show tackles one of the most universal and inevitable themes of the human experience with intelligence, irony, and authenticity, breaking through the filters of political correctness through the direct and engaging language of radio.

Halfway between storytelling theater and stand-up comedy, “Death Cafè (a)live” transforms the auditorium into a space for dialogue and sharing, breaking down the fourth wall and involving the audience in an experience that evokes real Death Cafés, places created to talk freely about death and overcome the anxiety of the end together. Through original questions, surprising anecdotes, and philosophical quotes, Marina Minetti restores a more natural, positive, and almost liberating dimension to the word “death.” The result is an extraordinarily intelligent show, capable of transforming fragility into an opportunity for collective reflection, approached with great authenticity and an irresistible dose of humor.

The show is part of the “La Misura del Tempo” series, a collection of five events selected to confront, exorcise, and overcome the anxiety of the end together. Because, spoiler alert, in the end, we all die… but in the meantime, we can laugh about it at the theater.
