Event Details
On Friday, October 16th, at 8:45 pm, the Auditorium of the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, in Provaglio d’Iseo, will host the second appointment of the “Le Parole del Monastero” series, entitled “Vita eterna: illusione o speranza?”.
The evening’s main protagonists will be Monsignor Giacomo Canobbio, in conversation with Ilario Bertoletti, editorial director of Editrice Morcelliana in Brescia.
The focus of the meeting will be the relationship between contemporary culture and death, and the attempt to conceal it versus the attempt to overcome it through technology.
Taking as its starting point the ancient epic of Gilgamesh, the Babylonian hero in search of immortality, the discussion will focus on the human desire not to die and on the meaning of life, exploring a question that remains relevant today: is eternal life an illusion or a hope?
Free admission; booking is recommended by contacting the details provided in the “Contacts” section.
