On Friday, October 2nd, at 8:45 pm, in the Auditorium of the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, in Provaglio d’Iseo, the first event in the series “Le Parole del Monastero” will take place, entitled “Linguaggio e illusione. Come le parole costruiscono ciò che sembra vero”, led by Franco Brevini.
The talk will explore the power of language in constructing what appears to be true: from literature to social media, words do not merely describe reality, but shape it, establish hierarchies within it and help to make it credible.
An opportunity to reflect on the role of words in our perception of the world and on the relationship between language, information and the construction of reality.
