Event Date

Start Time

20:00

On Sunday, August, 9th at 8:00 pm, in the small square next to the Church of San Bernardo in Provaglio d’Iseo (Contrada Zurane), ‘Gli animali di San Firmo’ will be inaugurated. This is the first installation of the ‘Community Land Art – Percorso delle Colline e delle Frazioni’ project, promoted by the La Falena Association.

The work, comprising sculptures of a pig, a rooster and a sheep, evokes the ancient tradition of the blessing of livestock linked to the now-vanished altar of San Firmo, documented as far back as the 16th century.

Created using environmentally friendly techniques and biodegradable materials, it represents the first step in a permanent artistic and nature trail that showcases the area’s historical, landscape and cultural heritage, transforming footpaths, hills and green spaces into a widespread open-air museum.

The trail will be open all year round.

Free admission.
