The Big Ring is for those who want to experience the entire Franciacorta region in its entirety. It winds through rolling hills, Lake Iseo, and historic villages, with stops at the Sebino peat bogs and panoramic views of the vineyards. You’ll cycle through green oases and neatly arranged vineyards, passing through ancient villages where time seems to have stood still.

Along the route, you’ll encounter numerous vineyards and the characteristic “dry stone walls”, ancient stone fences that once marked the boundaries of farm properties and cultivated fields, a testament to the rural history of this region. A challenging route, but one that rewards you with the discovery of a landscape rich in history, nature, and beauty, and the chance to savor the exceptional food and wine that make Franciacorta unique.

The route is designed to be comfortably accessible by train, thanks to the stations serving the main starting points. Let’s start from Paderno Franciacorta train station.
The area is at its best in spring, when the fields turn green and the flowers bloom, and in autumn, when the vineyards are tinged with red and gold.
The route is not signposted on the ground, but it is possible to download the GPX tracks from the dedicated page, so visitors can enjoy the adventure in complete freedom and safety.
