Event Details
On Sunday, April 12th, starting at 6:45 am, the fifth edition of “La VignaStorica” will take place in Piazza Cavour in Rovato, the vintage cycling event that winds through the heart of Franciacorta. The start is scheduled for 9:00 AM.
The event was created from a passion for cycling in all its forms and offers a free-paced ride along secondary roads, both paved and unpaved, with the aim of combining sport with local food and wine traditions, thanks to the refreshment stops located along the route in some of the most characteristic villages of Franciacorta.
The route, with both start and finish in the historic Piazza Cavour of Rovato, offers this year two free-ride courses through the roads and gentle moraine hills of the area, crossing the municipalities of Rovato, Erbusco, Clusane d’Iseo, Adro, and Corte Franca. The short route, 38 km with a 450 m elevation gain, includes three refreshment stops and a final lunch. The long route, 58 km with a 700 m elevation gain, includes four refreshment stops and the final lunch.
