THE RESERVE<\/h3>\n

ATTENTION
\n<\/strong>To ensure the protection of the nature reserve and promote its responsible use, the internal bike path (which crossed the Reserve\u2019s Southern Route) has been removed, and bicycles are now prohibited from entering. In line with the \u201cBrescia-Bergamo Cultural Bike Path: Brescia Section\u201d project, the bike path has therefore been rerouted outside the Reserve. View the resolution here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Visitors are advised that, from March 16, 2026, to July 18, 2026, the central trail of the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve will be closed to protect the bird species that find refuge and nest here. For further information, please refer to the press release<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cTorbiere del Sebino\u201d<\/strong> Nature Reserve is located on the southern shore of Lake Iseo and is the largest and most ecologically significant wetland in the province of Brescia.
\nThe area covers 360 hectares and consists mainly of reed beds and bodies of water, surrounded by farmland, roads, and homes. It includes the Lame, large expanses of water bordered by embankments, formed by the excavation of peat deposits; the Lamette, a peat lagoon located to the north toward the lake; several ponds to the south and west, formed by the excavation of clay deposits, up to 10\u201315 meters deep and with clearer water, in some of which fishing is still permitted; as well as adjacent meadows and farmland.
\nWithin the Reserve, it is prohibited to disturb wildlife, damage vegetation, introduce animals, litter, or stray from marked trails.<\/p>\n

THE PATH<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The most common route for visiting the Reserve begins at the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa in Provaglio d\u2019Iseo. Descending along the dirt road at the foot of the monastery walls, you cross a small wooden bridge near the railroad bridge and, walking alongside a cultivated field, reach the road to Iseo. From here, a path through the vegetation leads to a wooden viewing platform where you can admire the first bodies of water. Continuing on, you arrive at the original entrance to the reserve, where walkways and small bridges suspended over the water allow you to complete a circular route of about 4 kilometers immersed in nature, finally returning to the monastery.
\nA recommended alternative route is available that covers the entire Reserve for 9 kilometers, marked by signs for the \u201cNorth Route\u201d and \u201cSouth Route,\u201d with no set direction of travel. The complete itinerary takes about 3 hours, and hiking boots are recommended.<\/p>\n

USEFUL INFORMATION<\/h3>\n

The Reserve is accessible exclusively on foot every day of the year, including holidays, from sunrise to sunset. The three entry points are located in Corte Franca (at the parking lot of the shopping center of the same name), in Iseo (across from the municipal soccer field and near the Visitor Center), and in Provaglio d\u2019Iseo (at the parking lot of the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa).<\/p>\n

Admission<\/strong> costs \u20ac3.00 per person<\/strong>, with free entry for children under 12 and school groups. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the entrances or at select local businesses. For groups of more than eight people<\/strong>, you must contact an official Reserve guide. You can download the Reserve\u2019s app, available on the App Store and Google
